Dr. Armen Haroutunian

Dr. Armen Haroutunian is a highly skilled double-board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management doctor based in Southern California. With a deep passion for treating complex pain syndromes, Dr. Haroutunian has dedicated his career to helping patients find relief and improve their quality of life. After completing his anesthesiology training in Chicago, Dr. Haroutunian pursued fellowship training at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, specializing in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. He furthered his expertise by teaching cutting-edge techniques in peripheral nerve stimulation using ultrasound technology and hosting conferences and workshops for physicians across the country. Dr. Haroutunian remains at the forefront of pain medicine, regularly presenting his research at national conferences and contributing to publications on topics such as neuromodulation and advancements in ultrasonography. He has a particular interest in treating conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression using advanced methods like stellate ganglion injection. Believing in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to pain management, Dr. Haroutunian understands the importance of the mind-body connection for physical and emotional well-being. Using state-of-the-art technology, he performs a range of procedures including spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, epidural injections, nerve blocks, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablations, ketamine therapy, and kyphoplasties to address various musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders.
